Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena has accepted the chief minister’s suggestion to switch the cost of Vigilance and Companies departments to minister Atishi Marlena, officers mentioned on Saturday.


Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had on August 8 made the advice. The departments had been earlier dealt with by Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj.


A proper notification of the reshuffle by the Basic Administration (GAD) was awaited, they mentioned.


The proposal of the chief minister to allocate the portfolios of Companies and Vigilance departments to Atishi Marlena was obtained at LG workplace on August 8, officers at Raj Niwas mentioned.


“At the moment, Part 3A of the Authorities of Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi (Modification) Ordinance, 2023 excluding Entry 41 of the State Checklist from the legislative area of Delhi Meeting was in vogue,” the LG wrote in a file noting.


Nevertheless, Part 3A of the Ordinance was omitted from the Authorities of Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi (Modification) Invoice, 2023 when it was launched in Parliament, mentioned the LG’s noting.


The reshuffle proposal was accredited by the LG after the Authorities of Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi (Modification) Act 2023 was notified on Saturday, learn the file noting.
