Gross direct tax assortment grew 15.73 per cent to ₹6.53 lakh crore until August 10 within the present fiscal, the Revenue Tax division mentioned on Friday.
Web direct tax assortment after adjusting refunds stands at ₹5.84 lakh crore, which is 17.33 per cent larger than the online collections for the corresponding interval of final 12 months.

“The provisional figures of direct tax collections as much as tenth August, 2023 proceed to register regular development,” the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) mentioned in an announcement.
