NFL and school soccer host Wendi Nix is out at ESPN after an extended profession with the sports activities community.
“Exactly 17 years ago, I walked into ESPN wide-eyed and excited. This week, I walk out the same way. Grateful, but equally excited about the next chapter. To be continued…” Nix wrote on Instagram final week as she posed poolside together with her canine.
Nix’s contract had expired and was not renewed, the New York Submit reported, citing an unidentified supply. Kelsey Riggs will substitute Nix on “College Football Live,” in line with the Submit.
Nix was employed by ESPN in August 2006 as a university soccer, NFL and golf reporter. In 2020, she was tapped to host “NFL Rewind” and “College Football Live” after internet hosting “NFL Live” and “Sunday NFL Countdown.”
A former collegiate golfer at Wofford, she additionally contributed often to the channel’s protection of the foremost tournaments.
A spokesperson for ESPN declined to touch upon Nix’s departure for this text.
