Two-time Professional Bowl tight finish Kyle Rudolph has retired after a 12-year NFL profession spent principally with the Minnesota Vikings.
He instructed NFL reporter Jordan Schultz that he’ll retire as a member of the Vikings and shall be honored by the group round their Week 3 recreation in opposition to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Rudolph, 33, caught 482 passes for 4,773 yards and 50 touchdowns in 165 profession NFL video games (145 begins). Most of these receptions (453), yards (4,488) and touchdowns (48) got here in a Vikings uniform. The Vikings drafted him within the second spherical in 2011 and he made the Professional Bowl in 2012 and 2017.
Rudolph confirmed with NBC Sports activities that he shall be shifting into broadcasting and can work as a Large Ten analyst for Peacock and co-host a Sunday evening present on Fox Sports activities radio this fall.
“I performed for therefore lengthy and earned a veteran standing,” Rudolph instructed NBC Sports activities. “Now I am a rookie getting as many reps as I can within the media world. This offseason is about, ‘The place do I slot in?’ The NBC job doing video games on Peacock is cool. And speaking in regards to the storylines of the day within the NFL on Sunday nights shall be cool, too.”
Rudolph performed one season every with the New York Giants (2021) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2022) following a decade in Minnesota.
